J. L. Hupp Jewelers is independently owned and operated by Jerry and Lynn Hupp. We opened the store in April, 1977 and are happy to be celebrating 30 years of business in the year 2007. Our specialty is personal service by providing everything you need in jewelry, watches and clocks. We offer custom design or will special order from one of our many jewelry manufacturers.

We do appraisals on jewelry and watches as well as providing repair service for all types of jewelry and all grades of watches, both mechanical and quartz. In the past 10 years we have expanded our jewelry line to include Estate and Antique jewelry, high grade Pre-Owned Rolex watches and other rare and vintage watches. We are also one of the few sources in the Indianapolis metropolitan area that sell and service Antique as well as Modern clocks including Cuckoo clocks.

Our Staff
Jerry Hupp: Jerry is our expert jeweler and has studied in all areas of jewelry, watches and clock repair. His innovative ideas have been the key in the growth of the business over the years. He travels all over the Midwest buying watches and clocks and handpicks each item for the store.

Lynn Hupp: Lynn is in charge of the finances and administrative aspects of the business. Lynn and Jerry both have studied the diamond courses thru the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as well as taken the doorstep programs in Diamonds and Gemstone Identification. We have traveled all over the U.S. looking for jewelry that is just a little different than what you find in the chain stores.

Marlene Carlton:  Marlene joined the staff in March 2006 as a sales associate.  She also handles the merchandising, displays, decorations of the cases and assists in the administrative area.

General Merchandise
We provide the best quality and value in jewelry while supporting Truth in Pricing. We hand select each item in the store to provide a complete yet wide variety of jewelry. As part of our service we encourage inquiries for hard to fine items and are always open to new and unusual pieces to add to our selection.

We have a large selection of loose diamonds and colored stones. Our jewelry collection includes Bridal Jewelry, diamond earrings, necklaces and bracelets. An unusual selection of colored gemstone jewelry in 14K gold as well as a large selection of 14K gold necklaces, earrings and bracelets . Our beautiful line of handcrafted jewelry by Ed Levin comes in Sterling Silver, 14K gold and a combination of both metals in contemporary and Victorian designs. We sell watches, cultured pearls and have a large selection of charms in both sterling and 10K or 14K gold. We also sell Estate and Antique jewelry, high grade Pre-Owned Rolex watches and other rare and vintage watches. We carry brand new clocks as well as Antique, Modern and Cuckoo Clocks.

We require a 20% down payment and regular bi-weekly payments based on price of jewelry and length of time required for the layaway.
